    Barking up the wrong tree with this one. Poison might be the second worst typing in Pokemon(saved by Bug). Ice was but Snowscape really helped it with the change from Hail and the +50% Defense boost(and not damaging allies being a big plus).

    Yet if I have to pick a Poison Type, it'd probably be Drapion. Battle Armor + Black Sludge + Accupressure to get random(but strong) stat buffs can create a pretty good wall. Could also go offensive with it via Sniper and plop on a scope lense to get insane Crit damage and Fell Stinger to get +3 Attack.

    An honorable for Nidoqueen, Weezing(ability primarily) and Crobat(every Gen 2 players flying type).
