Pokemon Legends: Lamonica chapter twenty-three

Chapter 23:

Quom and Shade were standing at the edge of Newmoon Island, Shade trying to convince Quom of something, “We need Darkrai’s power, or we may not be able to make it out of here.” “When have we seen Darkrai here before?” Quom argued back. “It’s worth a try,” Shade shot back, “Besides, I don’t think Quorom is here right now.” “How about this,” Quom said, “You try and contact Bella again tonight, tell er what you can, and if possible, figure out what they’re doing.” “Okay,” Shade said, relieving Quom as the end of the conversation.

“Bella,” Shade said, “Are you here?” “Yes,” comes Bella’s voice, “What is it?” “Well, Quom told me to check on you guys,” Shade responded, “For starters, we’re still on Newmoon Island. I want to find Darkrai, Quom doesn’t. What do you think?” “I think,” Bella said, “That Darkrai is your best shot out of there.” “One more thing,” Shade said, “Since we have time, do you think you could tell me what’s been happening?”

“I do have to say, that it’s a lot,” Bella told Shade, “Are you sure you want it all?” Shade nodded, as Bella said, “Well, since you asked for it, I’ll start from the beginning. First, we decided to head into Jubilife, because we’d been out a while and you guys hadn’t come back. Then we helped an old friend of mine, who apparently sent us on a wild goose chase, but we did meet King Hades. Then Izzy and Shiroboshi came back, with Izzy having a broken leg. I helped heal Izzy up and we’re all staying together, waiting for you.” While saying all of this, Bella had purposefully left out the part about kissing Siege, as she wasn’t sure how the others would react. “Alright,” Shade said, “I should get back to Quom now.” “Yeah,” Bella replied, “Tell her I said hi.”

“Quom,” Shade said, “I’m back.” “Good,” Quom said, “What did Bella say?” Shade quickly explained everything and then said, “She agrees that we should try to find Darkrai.” “I thought she would,” Quom said, “Fine, we’ll find Darkrai. But remember, this doesn’t mean we’re friends again.” “I know, I know,” Shade said, “Now let’s go.” Shade and Quom then walked into the darkness, towards the center of Newmoon Island, to find Darkrai.
