pokemon daggerheart prep

Interesting. I may incorporate some things into my Pokemon Daggerheart but the thing boggling me right now is Classes, Domains and applying Pokemon Attack stats. HP(HP slots), Defense(Damage thresholds) and Speed(Evasion bonus) are doing ok but Attack + Armor Slots is proving difficult, not to mention how to tackle Buffs/Debuffs, Natures and Held Items(yeah the lone Equipment). Also dealing with Critical Hits is another stumbling block since Battle Armor prevents it but how to make Crits actually worth it and impactful for the likes of Focus Energy or Super Luck + Scope Lense.

My thinking on Crits is that they normally apply on Duality roll but with +Crit boosts, it simply yields bonus HP damage(+1 per 2 stages or max of +2 at stage 4/5). Battle Armor obviously prevents that. Defense buffs/debuffs raise/lowers thresholds but again the sticking point is how to apply Attack stats, much less boosts that make using Swords Dance impactful. In Pokemon it's incredibly powerful but in Daggerheart, im struggling to make it matter. Then there's Natures… and yeah I'm going crazy 🤣

@clasingla So did my recap of Session 1 look to be ok or did I screw up? Didn't feel like slogging through 20+ pages lol. Plus I don't remember who did downtime moves. Also is @OwenChubb30 ready for tomorrow(~14 hours from now) because I haven't seen anything other than their Pokemon choice.

As for my Pokemon Daggerheart game, I think that since Pokemon moves are pre-set that Buffs/debuffs affect Proficiency or number of dice. Attack stat is something I have to Iron out still because I'd have to find a formula that works for high Attack stat Pokemon.
