Pokemon Legends: Lamonica chapter seventeen

Chapter 17:

Shiroboshi was staring at one of the new Eeveelutions as he said, “Jeremy, what are these?” “Those are Drakeon and Starbreon,” came Jeremy’s voice. When he said Drakeon, he pointed at the blue, scaly one with sharp claws and a dragon like tail. When he said Starbreon’s name, Jeremy pointed at the glowing, transparent one with spots along it shaped like stars. “These Pokémon are from Lacos,” Jeremy said, “At least, that’s where they were discovered. Drakeon is a dragon type and Starbreon is a ghost type.” With a smile, Shiroboshi withdraws Chu, and says, “Go, Tyranitar.” As he sends out Tyranitar, Izzy says, “Come back Char, go Gardevoir!” “Tar, use Crunch!” Shiroboshi says, and while he says this, Izzy says, “Gardevoir, use Dazzling Gleam!” Gardevoir, targeting Drakeon, successfully landing her attack, knocking out the Drakeon, while Tyranitar who is targeting Starbreon, which is knocked out with a Crunch. 

With the two Eeveelutions knocked out, Jeremy appears again and says, “Well done, it’s time for the third trial.” “What happens if we fail the trials?” Shiroboshi asks. “You don’t get to leave,” Jeremy replies, “Do you think you’ll fail?” “No, I just had to ask,” Shiroboshi said. “We’re here,” Jeremy said, “The third trial is an obstacle course that you have to work together to beat.” “Okay,” Shiroboshi said with a smile, “I bet we can do it!” “Here we are,” Jeremy said, stopping in an empty field. “What?” Shiroboshi and Izzy said at the same time, staring around, when suddenly, Jeremy vanishes and they are trapped, their poke balls locked. 

“What happened?” Izzy asked. “I think we have to get through this somehow,” Shiroboshi replied, “Let’s start by getting up there.” Shiroboshi pointed up a climbing wall, knowing he would be better at getting to the top, since he was taller. “Come on,” he said, “I can boost you up.” “Alright,” Izzy responds, “Let’s do it.” After boosting Izzy up, Shiroboshi starts to climb below her to make sure she doesn’t fall. After they soon made it to the top, Shiroboshi stopped short, the obstacle course seemed to stretch for miles in every direction, how were they going to get out? 

“Which way do we go?” Shiroboshi asked Izzy. “Left,” Izzy replied, “The other directions have no end in sight.” The trainers went left, but stopped short, because there was something blocking them. “What is this?” They both asked, just as a Mr. Mime came out. “That Mr. Mime must be what's making the barrier,” Shiroboshi said, “Get over here!” Shiroboshi charged the Mr. Mime, hitting the barrier and crashing backwards onto the ground.

Izzy stood over Shiroboshi, worried. He had been knocked unconscious by the barrier and he wouldn’t wake up. She decided to try something else. She reached for a poke ball and then remembered that they were locked. Her worriedness was continually increasing, and she decided that she had to try something, so she reached into Shiroboshi’s backpack, pulling out a water bottle and she dumped it on his face, but still, he didn’t wake up. Izzy’s mind started to fog up; she couldn’t think of anything else. Izzy knelt down beside Shiroboshi and started to quiver in fear that he wouldn’t wake up.
