Also approval is bane of all new accounts. @OwenChubb30 if approval snags you, get accustomed to posting on profile walls. Our GM is @clasingla so post there during sessions if that happens. Appears you're joining Group A this Saturday but I wonder if you'll be crazy like Hades and do Group B too.

Anyways I await your reply, whenever it appears 🙅

All of it or a specific part? I'll just assume all of it so let's see...

We play a modified version of Daggerheart, a TTRPG(Table top RPG). Just about everything we pick is from the game itself save for two particular things. Firstly, instead of picking traditional Ancestry(ex: Human, Elf, Orc, etc.), we pick a Pokemon. As you know, Pokemon have an Ability, hence what you pick will be adapted or Homebrewed(aka customized) for Daggerheart. Since you picked Aggron, you need to pick what Ability you want for it from the Abilities Aggron can know. The other difference from Daggerheart is Pokemon moves. These are additional moves you can make over the course of a campaign. You start with two Pokemon moves and I listed your options. These, like with your Ability, are adapted for Daggerheart.

Then everything else is if you were making a Daggerheart character. Following 101 video goes over it.

Select a Class, Subclass, Experiences l, Community, Domain Cards, Assign Traits, and choose Equipment (in no particular order). This other video goes over the 9 Classes, their Subclasses and the level 1 Domain card options for each Domain. It's a long watch but I think does a good job explaining it.

    Classes are in alphabetical order.

It's a lot to take in so how about we do the Pokemon side of things first. You picked Aggron, hence you'll start as Aron. Which ability do you want for it? Sturdy, Rock Head or Heavy Metal? Then pick two from following: Harden, Screech, Tackle, Metal Claw and Rock Tomb.

Once that is done I can give you the Daggerheart portion piece by piece, starting with Class + Subclass. Options(alphabetically) are as follows:

    1. Bard(Troubador or Wordsmith)
    2. Druid(Warden of Elements or Warden of Renewal)
    3. Guardian(Stalwart or Vengeance)
    4. Ranger(Beastbound or Wayfinder)
    5. Rogue(Nightwalker or Syndicate)
    6. Seraph(Divine Wielder or Winged Sentinel)
    7. Sorcerer(Elemental Origin or Primal Origin)
    8. Warrior(Call of the Brave or Call of the Slayer)
    9. Wizard(School of Knowledge or School of War)

If you watch the Class/Subclass video, you get an overview of each along with the level 1 Domain options each class has access to. Pick the Class and Subclass you like the most or simply go here: Classes and go into each Class in detail to make an informed decision.

Speaking of Domains, why not pick them now as the next step. Each class has access to two Domains and you can pick two level 1 cards or spells/abilities from those options. Each class has access to the following Domains:

    1. Bard(Grace&Codex)
    2. Druid(Sage&Arcana)
    3. Guardian(Valor&Blade)
    4. Ranger(Sage&Bone)
    5. Rogue(Grace&Midnight)
    6. Seraph(Valor&Splendor)
    7. Sorcerer(Arcana&Midnight)
    8. Warrior(Blade&Bone)
    9. Wizard(Codex&Splendor)

Each Domain has three level 1 Domain cards you can choose from. Pick two(from the six level 1 options) that you like from here: Domains

Then choose a Community or background your character comes from. This is basically your origin as it influences your characters backstory(aka who they are and where do they come from? Your choice yields a particular perk). Your options are Highborne, Loreborne, Orderborne, Ridgeborne, Seaborne, Slyborne, Underborne, Wanderborne and Wildborne. Pick the one that appeals to you.

Then pick your Character Experiences. These can be a word or Phrase that your character has developed over the course of their life/existence. Link I gave you has a list of examples but really they can be anything so long as it's not too broad. Mine are Affable + Healer just to give you an example. Need to pick/create two of them.

Then you assign your Character Traits. Each Character has a corresponding value for Strength, Agility, Finesse, Instinct, Presence and Knowledge. You assign+2, +1, +1, +0, +0 and -1 to those Traits as you see fit. These values are how strong you are in a given Trait and are what is added to any action roll involving them. A description of each Trait can be found here: Traits

The final stretch is your Equipment. When you're not using your Spells or Pokemon moves in combat, you're using your Equipment or on this case, your Weapon to deal damage to the enemy. What you pick is entirely up to you. Pick a Tier 1 Weapon from the list of options here: Weapons The page I linked can be filtered by Trait(aka Trait used on attack rolls), Category(Primary or Secondary), Damage(Physical or Magic*; *Magic can only be used by Classes with a Spellcast Trait), Burden(2-Hand or 1-Hand; 1-Hand Primary permits 1-Hand Secondary) and Range(How far they can attack). Pick a Primary weapon from Tier 1 that you like the most. Add a Secondary option if Primary is 1-Handed.

Then pick your Armor. Tier 1 Armor has four options: Gambeson, Leather, Chainmail and Full Plate. Gambeson is the lightest, providing the least protection but gives a bonus to Evasion while Chainmail and Full Plate penalize Evasion(and Agility with Full Plate) but offer the most protection or best Damage thresholds. Pick what you like the most from those options. That is, unless, you picked the Bare Bones Domain Card as a Guardian or Seraph(then you don't need Armor with that card).

Next is your starting Potion. You have two options in Health or Stamina. Each character has HP slots and Stress slots. HP or Hit Points is restored by Health Potion while Stress is the representation of Physical and Mental strain your character accrues and is restored with a Stamina Potion. Pick the one you want to start with.

The last Equipment choice is your Class Item. Each Class has two options so pick the one that appeals to you. They are as follows:

    1. Bard(Romance Novel or Letter never opened)
    2. Druid(bag of rocks and bones or strange pendant found in the dirt)
    3. Guardian(totem from your mentor or a secret key)
    4. Ranger(trophy from first kill or a seemingly broken compass)
    5. Rogue(A set of Forgery Tools or Grappling Hook)
    6. Seraph(bundle of offerings or sigil of your God)
    7. Sorcerer(whispering orb or Family Heirloom)
    8. Warrior(Drawing of a lover or sharpening stone)
    9. Wizard(Book you're trying to translate or harmless elemental pet)

Options you have are predicated on your class pick. Your class item doesn't even have to be those options. One of our Eevee opted for a cursed Charm Necklace, which honestly is rather clever. Basically pick something or create something that is sentimental to your character.

Only thing you need at this point is the backstory that your community pick should influence. Do all of that and your character is all set for Saturday.

@OwenChubb30 Figure I'd show you an example of what we are looking for with my character. I added extra info with Community and Class Item for extra character depth(so what if I'm copying from a series I like).

    Name: Katara

    Species: Alolan Vulpix

    Ability: Snow Warning

Moves: Powder Snow + Tail Whip

    Class: Sorceress

    Subclass: Elemental Origin(Water)

    Class Item: Family Heirloom(Necklace)

    Community: Seaborne(Southern Water Tribe)

    Experiences: Affable + Healer

Domain Cards: Rune Ward(Arcana) + Unleash Chaos(Arcana) ←opted for two Arcana cards

    Traits: S(-1), A(+0), F(+1), I(+2), P(+1) and K(+0)

    Weapon: Dualstaff(Instinct, Far, D6 +3) ←Trait + Combat Range + Damage Dice

    Armor: Gambeson(5/11, AS: 3) ← Threshold + Armor score

Inventory: Stamina Potion, 2 x Oran Berries, 1 x Cheri Berry, 1 x Pecha Berry, Water Skin Pouch + Adventurer supplies(Torch, 50 ft rope, Basic supplies) ←I worked with GM to give myself extra stuff at the cost of the Gold you start with. Only thing you need here is the Potion. Adventurer stuff is standard for everyone.

Feel free to use above as a template. You don't need to add the Weapon or Armor stats, just your selections. If you need help or are still lost, I'm going to need some specifics as to what is throwing you for a loop.

Btw figure I'd add that group A has a Sorceress(me), a Seraph(Sylveon), two Rogues(Hades + Pokemom) and a Ranger(Siennas). Group B(if you opt for that instead) has two Bards(Hades + Unova), a Guardian(Evolve), a Wizard(Morpeko), a Rogue(Pikacarter) and a Ranger(K4mb4m). Latter would put the group at 7 so that might not be possible but that's up to GM. Anyways, figure id highlight the class composition.

If you need a TLDR of the classes, here's my take:

Bard: Support(Stress primarily, but also Hope and marginal Healing)

    Druid: JOAT with transformation

Guardian: Tank and a godly one with Stalwart subclass. Does best with Ally support(Bard and Seraph are ideal but having one makes a huge difference).

Ranger: DPS + Tracking; Seraph Support via Prayer Dice can permit heavy Hope Feature use

    Rogue: DPS + Stealth.

Seraph: Support(Healer) + Hope generation, can Tank a bit if needed.

Sorcerer: DPS + Utility. Can unleash Chaos for extended duration with Bard Support.

Warrior: Frontal assault/taking point. Mostly independent but support from allies never hurts

    Wizard: DPS + Utility and/or Support(Healing).

@clasingla I went through Session 1 along with downtime choices and I think the following is correct:

Katara: 6/6 Hope + Project(making rune wards for everyone). I rolled Hope twice and did Prepare for downtime.

Catsuki: 6/6 Hope + Project(Training to bump a Trait). Rolled Hope a lot along with Prepare downtime move.

Cipher: 3/6 Hope + 2 more via Downtime? ← not sure here. Memory failing me.

Zero: 3/6 Hope ← off memory that my gut says is wrong

Caspian: 2/6 Hope ← missed Session but started a project(upgrading Weapon).

Also have a new participant slated to start Saturday. @OwenChubb30 feel free to say hi. I haven't seen their character yet though. All I know is their species(Aron → Aggron) so if there's anything new, I haven't seen it.

Also wanted to mention that I'll be busy the final hour+ due to Jr.Giants. Last Saturday of volunteer work. I shall endeavor to be active the first 45-50 minutes though.
