"Hmmm... We dont want to get executed or imprisoned, yet still cause maximum chaos! That Floatzel has made a fearsome enemy, but we can't do anything against him.... yet. There must be a offender of Giratina somewhere..."
He closes his eyes searching for Giratina's guidance. His eyes light up
"There is a strong reverence of Palkia in this town. The good news is that pretty much everyone here is thus in enmity with Giratina. However, that doesn't narrow down our target any. Is there anything in particular you mean to gain by this venture?"

Every player starts with 2 Hope. You spent 2 Hope on Experiences, rolled one Hope via an action roll and generated an additional +2 by committing both of your downtime actions to Preparation. Each of those is +1(+2 overall). You get a bonus Hope if someone else also chooses to Prepare(aka me and pretty much everyone else as I see it). So you'd get at least +1 from that, if not +2 but that's up to GM I think. So that's 1 + 2 + 1(or +2) to get 4(+1 bonus) or 5(+2 bonus).
Here's a quote for downtime:
Prepare: Describe how you prepare for the next day’s adventure, then gain a Hope. If you choose to Prepare with one or more members of your party, you each gain 2 Hope.

No problem. I suppose you're preparing by getting into shenanigans with Catsuki. I guess me and Cipher can do some sparring but everyone is basically going to have like 4+ Hope at the start of Session 2(even our awol Ranger if he makes a downtime move).

Overturns a couple baskets; (Just to get to the good ones in the back you know) and selects a Leichi berry
"Why, this one looks quite tasty!"

You receive no reply. Zero turns towards you with his face growing redder by the second. He spits out the Leichi berry with desprateness and dashes for a different berry to extinguish the fire in his mouth. As Zero is scrambling on the floor he gasps
"You gasp would think growing up on a farm would teach a lad about identifying berrys!"
