Mega Greninja might be a friend to Mega Absol

Mega Absol kinda fell out of view for awhile due to the strict ruling of Doom period

Until Mega Greninja came out, mortal shuriken pairs so well with doom period. Put Mega Greninja in play, use the mortal shuriken ability, swap to Mega Absol and doom period the pokemon in question

Since Mortal Shuriken is an ability and not an attack, switching pokemon is still viable and Doom period insta-kos any pokemon with 6 damage counters

yep, it popped into my head when I saw what Mortal shuriken does

"Discard 1 water energy from your hand, place 6 damage counters on 1 of your opponent's pokemon"

Use a switch or something to swap to Mega absol and then just KO the pokemon

Absol (as a sniper*) can't always KO easily with 1 hit. Even just 10 damage on the target can block Absol's Terminal Period attack. To fix that, I think that decks that are using this archetype should also have Munkidori (although its ability can be blocked by Patrat (Chaos Rising)).

* An actual sniper needs to aim carefully to shoot the target. In the TCG, I think that Pokémon that rely on the target's existing damage or on the number of cards on each player's hand are "snipers".
