I'll do mine in a bit

I step up to my side of the field with a smirk. Me and the Gym Leader grip a PokéBall tightly, both of us feeling confident in our skills. The ref counts us down and the moment the word "Battle" is yelled we unleash our Pokémon.

Princessa, my Gardevoir, stomps her foot into the ground, trilling loudly. Korrina's Falinks all chatter aggressively back. "Different Pokémon than usual," I observe, stating the obvious.

"My other Pokémon need to heal, so I gotta change a bit," Korrina explains. "Now use No Retreat!"

The Falinks make a V-shape and howls loudly, glowing red as all of its stats go up. "Doesn't bother us," I state. "Use Psybeam!"

Princessa builds up a small ball of energy between her hand before pushing it out as a laser, hitting Falinks right in the first face. The Fighting type stumbles back a bit but seems mostly okay. However, it wobbles a bit, showing confusion.

"Push through," Korrina shouts. "Use Iron Head!"

Falinks finds enough footing to launch itself at Princessa at high speed, ramming into her before I can counter. My Gardevoir stumbles back, severely injured but still standing. "Don't give in," I tell her, and she straightens up, giving a determined hollar. "Alright! Use Draining Kiss!"

Princessa runs to the Fighting type, pink energy glowing against her mouth. "Dodge it," Korrina commands, but in its confusion Falinks walks to the Embrace Pokémon, making her job much easier. My Gardevoir picks up the enemy and gives it a peck on the cheek, which may be gentle but really packs a punch. Princessa glows green as some of her health gets restored. She drops Falinks, who is completely unconscious.

"Agh! Alright, one down," the Gym Leader states as she returns the Formation Pokémon. After giving Falinks her thanks, she sends out a Hawlucha. I know Princessa could go on, but I don't want to push her too far.

"You fought well, but take a rest," I say as I return my Gardevoir in a beam of red light. I then send Phoxy, my Delphox, who tosses her stick into the air, spins, then catches it as she bows.

"You really like battling with the advantage, I see," Korrina observes as she takes in my second Psychic type.

"Actually just coincidence that my team is built to beat you," I tell honestly. "But it is a nice advantage! Use Psyshock!"

Phoxy makes a circle in the air with her wand, which goes purple after completion. Then, purple shards fly out of the magic ring, all hitting the Hawluchu. However, the Wrestling Pokémon didn't even try to dodge. When the dust from the hit settles, Hawlucha is still standing tall, showing off its durability.

"It'll take more than that to take us down," the Fighting type Gym Leader states with a smirk. "Go! Use X-Scissors!"

The Hawlucha leaps into the air, strikes a pose, and comes back down, arms crossed in an X, and crashes into Phoxy. The Fighting/Flying type back flips away as my Delphox slowly rises to her feet.

"Not bad," I admit. "But we can easily handle that! Use Mystical Fire!"

Phoxy trills as she points her twig at the opponent. Huge purple flames burst from the tip of the wand, engulfing the target. The Hawlucha grunts as it tries not to let the hurt show.

"Quick, come back with Payback," Korrina commands. The Wrestling Pokémon nods and begins running through the flames, knee glowing black.

"Stop and use Calm Mind," I hollar. Phoxy cuts off the flames and closes her eyes, taking a deep breath. Right as her stats increase Hawlucha slams its knee into her gut, sending her flying as she screams in pain.

"Haha!" the Gym Leader laughs triumphantly as she watches Phoxy struggle to her feet. "We've got you now! X-Scissors!"

The opponent springs forward, in position to attack. "Now! Psybeam," I command. My Delphox quickly grabs her stick and launches a huge pink beam at the Fighting/Flying type, which was had too much momentum to dodge in time. Korrina gasps as Hawlucha slams into the wall behind her, knocked out.

"You may have beat Hawlucha, but Hawlucha beat you too," she tells me as she returns her Pokémon.

"What do you mean," I question. All the blonde does is point at Phoxy. I look at her and see that she is in extreme pain, barely even standing. "Are you okay," I ask the Fox Pokémon gently. Phoxy let's out one long breath before collapsing in defeat. The Payback should have beat her, but she held on to get me the win. With a soft smile I return her, whispering my thanks.

I grab Princessa's PokéBall, not wanting to use Char or Cadetta since they are over leveled, but before I send her out Korrina unleashes her Lucario with a Mega Stone, this stone a bit different than the usual one. "It's time to go all out," the Gym Leader shouts excitedly.

"If you can go all out," I say as I put Princessa back and grab a different ball, "then so can I! Let's go, Char!" My Charizard bursts out his ball, roaring powerfully as it spread its wings and stomps its feet. After finishing its cry, it stares down the Lucario with a challenging smirk. The opponent silently accepts this challenge, taking a battle stance.

"Looks like we're all fired up," Korrina exclaims with a wide smile. She raises her Key Stone, activating it with a tap. I do the same, blue beams of light connecting to Char's red. Our Pokémon shine brightly, and when the light disburses, Mega Charizard X and Mega Lucario Z are on the field.

"Let's do this," I yell. "Flare Blitz!"

"Aura Sphere then dodge," Korrina counters.

Char coats himself in blue flames as he rushes towards the dog. The Lucario claps its paws together, a large orb of power immediately forming between them. It launches the ball at surprising speed then leaps out of the dragon's path. My Charizard takes the Aura Sphere head on and slightly tips its weight in the target's direction, still landing the hit.

"You can't escape us," I tell Korrina confidently. Char shakes off the recoil damage, acting as if he felt nothing.

"Then we'll meet you head on," the Gym Leader replies. "Bone Rush!"

Lucario leaps to its feet, summoning a bone of aura quickly. Then, it closesb the distance before I can blink, obliterating Char in a flurry of strikes. I have to focus incredibly hard to see the hits, but soon I find a pattern.

"Aaaaand... NOW! Catch it," I command. Char immediately acts, moving away from the strike and grabbing the Mega Z's wrist. "Great! Now use Seismic Toss!"

Mega Charizard X pulls the opponent in and hugs it tightly as it flies them into the air. "Fight back," the blonde trainer hollars. Lucario tries desparately, but the more it squirms the more crushing Char's hold becomes. My Charizard then spins them in a circles, getting faster with each lap. Once the opponent is dizzy enough, the Dragon/Fire type throws it to the ground.

"Finish this," I exclaim. "Fire Punch!"

Char dives down, meeting the Mega Lucario Z before it even reaches the floor. He strike the enemy with a fist of blue flames, sending it faster to the ground. Lucario lands with a painful BAM!!! When the dust clears, both Pokémon flash as they go back to normal, Char being the victor.

"VICTORYYYYYYYY!!!" I cheer happily as I jump into Char's back to hug him. Korrina returns her fallen Lucario, thanks it, then walks up to me, granting me the Rumble Badge.
