What to do with bulk? Building master(grand) sets

Hello everyone,

As of the past week, I've had a rekindling of my interest in Pokemon. I came across a YouTuber by the name pokeunlocked and became instantly entertained by his masterset building videos as it was something I wanted to do when I was younger.

I pulled out the Pokemon I own and started starting sorting out all of my bulk. Separating by generation, set, and set order. I also did this with all the duplicates I came across.

I'm hoping I can get some guidance on what I should now do with this bulk? I have a good amount ranging from xy to sword and shield. Basics, holos, trainers and energies (all of which is sorted and NM or LP).

My goal is complete or get as close as possible to a bunch of different sets. I don't want to focus on one set as it would be too difficult for me to choose and I would rather have a lot of pokémon to go through (sorting bulk is my favorite) and sort and fill in a few pages from all the different sets.

I don't have a lot (if any) money to work with, which I know will make things complicated but I have a few ideas....

I know on eBay there are plenty of bulk listings for like $20-40 for around 1k cards. I was thinking of selling my bulk in packages similar to that, and then using that money to then buy other bulk listings. I would then continue this in a rotation. Hoping to receive cards I don't have.

Would it be smarter to list the cards in smaller bundles or as singles for other people trying to build sets or decks? This would probably take way longer and each card will probably be a few cents.

Would it just be better for me to buy singles for a set I like the most, than trying to attain more cards through bulk?

I know this is a long post but I'm hoping someone out there is willing to give some advice.

Is there someone out there who would be willing to give out bulk they don't care about? (Or selling it?)

something I do with my bulk is sorting it by set, or type. Hope this helps :)

The deck builders sadly won’t be able to use anything before H regulation. I know because I am a player. Actually I’m going to a prerelease this weekend. Anyway I digress. I used to collect when I was younger, and had a lot of XY Evolutions. Love that stuff. I’m a sucker for mega evolution. I would sell it on TCG player if you want to sell. If you’re sorting, go to the Pokemon website, and card database, you can select a specific set, so that’s helpful for sorting by set. I just started playing when Mega Evolution came out so it was perfect. If you live near a Nashcards store you can get cards for free, I live near their Memphis location. I got a bunch of cards from them. Just check with the workers. Also check for other stores near you. It’s time consuming to look through all of the cards, but well worth it.

    Sorry for the long comment.
