    Johto

It just feels right. There is a good theory on what the dogs were before the fire, I’ll see if I can find it.

    Galar

Do you mean the one where Ho-oh revived a Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon when that tower caught fire (forgot the name), and they became the legendary dogs?

    Johto

I think Johto would be an interesting pick. The region is steeped in a lot of history only referenced in the games, and there are key events and Pokémon you could build a story around, such as the legendary dogs, the Unown, Ho-oh and Lugia, and obviously for a potential time travel story, Celebi.

And on a meta level Johto has been kind of neglected, so it would be nice to give it some love.

They could potentially do Kanto, too, given their proximity.

Unova would be another good choice. There is a lot to work with both in terms of the region's history, but also its future. Relationships between people and Pokémon was key to BW and BW2, so examining the state of the region following Team Plasma's ploy could be interesting.

Galar is another pick with potential. I am on record as hating SwSh, but a key problem I have with the game is that it did not communicate its history or concepts well. It is all so vague and half-baked. A Legends game could expand upon that and potentially redeem it, or at least use it as the basis for a better story.
