I Want to Talk About FRLG
If you're unaware, the are adding Fire Red and Leaf Green to the Switch
So first I have a question
I've heard that in the original games the X-Accuracy makes it to where all attacks hit, no matter the move's accuracy or opponent's evasiveness
Did they change that or is it still the sane in FRLG?
If it's still the same, I'll just teach one of my Pokémon a OHKO move, X-Accuracy, and wipe the opposing team (if I get the money to get the game, anyways)
That's the only question I have and will be incredibly thankful for an answer
Now for the normal talk
I'm pretty excited for this because I've always wanted to play the original games
While yes, I have played Let's Go, I don't think that's the same experience as the original games
There is many reasons why, but one of the biggest is Mega Evolution
Like I said, there's more than just that, but that's my biggest reason of saying they're different
Anyways, I think the weirdest part of paying this will be not getting to choose my gender
I don't know if you get to choose your name in the original, but I know you're stuck as a male and the outfit
You know, I'm looking forward to building a team in FRLG
I've never played a game where it is required that your Pokémon knows the HM moves, so I'll have to keep those in mind when choosing my Pokémon
Right now, I know my partner will be Charmander (Charizard)
The rest of my team I'm thinking will be:
Beedrill
Nidoking
Gyrados
Marrowack
Not sure yet
I've only got five of the six planned, but it's highly unlikely that I'll even stick with the other ones
I only know that for sure I'm using Charizard
What I'm thinking with this team, though, is Nidoking is the power house, Beedrill is cool, Gyrados can be my Surf and Fly (it can learn Fly, right?), Charizard will be my early Fly and Cut (I think it can learn cut), and Marrowack is, like Beedrill, cool
The last Pokémon can be decided based on what HM I need, but I know that the original game don't have EXP Share, so getting a full team of good levels may be a bit difficult
I don't normally pre-plan my team, but I know the Kanto region perfectly and know what I do and don't want
This team is actually me trying something new because I like all the Pokémon here (except Nidoking) but don't usually use them, so I want to play differently then how I normally do
Anyways, that's all from me
I can't wait to hear your plans, questions, and anything else you have in mind!

You get to choose you’re gender in FrLg but not in Rb

In gen 3, it works the same as in newer gens. Except for the fact that it started boosting Accuracy by 2 in gen 7, it only boosts it by 1 from gens 3-6. Also, while you can't change the outfit, you can pick between male and female in every game starting from Crystal (meaning all games from the GBA onwards (and also Crystal on the GBC) let you choose it). Also, be warned, you're probably going to have to spend multiple hours grinding or have a horribly underleveled team. I played Emerald a while ago (I haven't beaten it yet, I started the playthrough 2 years ago and I keep forgetting to continue playing it. That's why I can't say anything specific about FRLG's difficulty here, because even though I have the cartridges I won't play it till I beat Emerald) and I beat every trainer there was before Norman and my team was still extremely underleveled and unbalanced in levels since I can't send out everyone all the time, especially if they don't have good moves which makes you not use them often, and then they're underleveled and unable to even fight wild Pokémon. It takes some work to make sure your team is balanced and and it makes you realise why XY made the Exp. Share a key item that affects everyone instead of a held item you can only give one.
