Okay, so as a simple video RPG developer, I'm going to be developing a Pokémon alternate continuity ("altcon" for short) video game franchise, whose E10+ ESRB-rated mainline video games are real-time western RPG-based fighting games with simple RPG elements instead of turn-based JRPGs, the one whose story mode set on the present day in the Pokémon region, in which the players pits a collection of playable fighter and/or usable NPC supporter Pokémon against the opposing Trainers' CPU-based fighter Pokémon in attempt to become the regional Pokémon League Champion. So, by the way, starting Generation I, let me ask you all my own questions?
- Which region do you think that that mainline games will be set, Kanto or a different new one?
- For National Pokédex numbering, should I include just the Generation I Pokémon, or include both them and their cross-generational pre-evolutions/evolutions, and/or regional forms/evolutions?
- Should I include all Baby Pokémon, and/or the Abra, Smoochum and/or Porygon evolutionary lines? Are there any other Pokémon you think I should exclude?
- Should I age Pokémon by leveling up and evolve them by aging?
- Should I include just single-branched evolutions, and/or multi-branched evolutions?
- Should I including temporary transformations like Mega Evolutions, or none of them at all?
- To avoid gambling for good, should I include a Rocket Game Corner with arcade machines, or replace it with other building, whether a clothing store or other?
- Should I include traditional wild Pokémon battles or a Pokémon GO-esque catching method?
- Should I include abilities, held items, breeding, eggs, ridable Pokémon, Sevii Islands?
- Anything else you think I should include just to make the gameplay mechanics more interesting, whether or not similar to those from the Pokémon Legends subseries?
Why do you think? Please let me know, thanks.😉
