No space for Juniors at League Cup
Pokemon TCG seems to be very child-friendly, except when it comes to buying playable cards or getting tickets to a League Cup. There are a lot of kids collecting cards, but not playing the game. I wonder if there is a way to encourage more Juniors/Seniors to play in tournaments. Recruiting more children (their families) should be a win-win, but it's not happening; at least not in my city.
How do we go about getting the kids treated better at the santioned tournaments like League Challenges/Cups, or even feeling welcomed there? Sometimes they have a few kids signed up, but they get merged with the Master's division for Swiss rounds (sometimes they don't even play the other kids), charged the same price, but banned from the final cut. So, they pay the same prices to play, their entry fee goes into the prize pool, but they are not permitted to compete for the prizes (even if they make the final cut). It's super frustrating, and that's if they are lucky enough to get tickets. In cities with millions of people, they are only admitting 2 or 3 juniors/seniors and merging them. It would be nice if they held seats for these younger divisions, and either charged them less to give them equal opportunity prizes.
