Good deck strategies revolving around Kanto cards?

I'm still kind of new and want to experiment building my own decks. I have the fundamentals of playing the game well and can pilot a deck decent enough, but I'm not very skilled at deck building.

I was a kid when Pokemon just started, so I thought it would be fun to have a deck built around exclusively using Kanto region cards. Does anyone have any good ideas or advice for particularly good cards and build ideas around them?

    I’m new also and I find most the original Pokémon my go to for decks to be honest just look for Pokémon you like for me it’s charm and sea horse guy lol every time I play and lose or learn new cards from other players I edit my deck till it’s perfect then when I want a new deck I copy it and just change few things. Good luck I love this game
