Card limits and excess cards?

I had about 60,000 cards and obviously migrating across I would lose alot of those that I had due to cap now being 4... having opened the tutorial pack I got 20 of a material for 1 that exceeded 4.. was there any compensation / rewards for all the cards gone now from my collection?
