It still is little more than a theory. There has never been any depiction of an unmasked Cubone, and in fact, removing the skull from the rest of its 3D model will show that the modelers never even bothered to model the face in proper detail — almost as if they were trying to enforce the already iron-clad ambiguity.

why keep the skepticism alive? It's a pokemon. It's classified differently. It has different characteristics. Even if it was a Charmander then it should still be classified differently because it acts differently/has a different character. A finch that chooses to eat larger seeds is different from a finch that eats tiny seeds.

Malnutrition means the opposite of what you thought. It means they are not getting enough food.

It means not getting enough nutrients. In Salandit's case, it's not getting enough food because the females eat most of it.
