Question About Ash's Kantonian Pokémon not in "Pokémon: The Movie: I Choose You!"?

Are some fans disappointed that all of Ash's Kantonian Pokémon, other than Pikachu, Butterfree and Charizard, are not present in "Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!"? Why? Please let me know, thanks.😉
