That would depend on how I feel. For example, I could name the male shiny lapras, Triton.

Actually in Pokémon GO I have shinies with fitting names.

"Kommoshine7k" "Pinkyogre" "CadburyEgg" "Spritelantis" "NE0MEL0N" "MintyFresh" "Cyansola" "Purplegon" "Blue schnozz"

Then you get the random ones.

"WeightLifted" "William" "Cassandra"

If you'd like to know who each of these are then I will tell you and you will see.

I used to do it to all of them, but now I only nickname the ones who are really special to me or the ones I use in competitive teams

Depending on the shiny, really. My favorite little guy, Porygon2? He is Chaos…literally.

Here's a good nickname for a shiny Hoppip: TheCool1Z. That's one of the things my younger brother goes by on the internet alongside “Hoppip Overlord”

i usually only nickname pokemon that ill use on my team, or any legendary/mythical pokemon, for instance i usually have the go too choice of umbreon, and i always name him "sen" i dont know entierly why i do, but i like it :)
