I believe the OP has the correct understanding. As seen in the recently streamed official Japanese “Elite Four” tournament, Pokestop should be disabled by toedscruel.3 -

it actually works without trainers from CRZ or POGO! But why don't the support or moderators officially give this tip at the top of the forum?2 -

in this deck, you can just remove CRZ/PGO version of trainer cards and your deck will be working (so take LOR lost vacuum instead CRZ one)3 -
