Depending on the games theme/genre the icon is often different. The current icon is still confusing however because I still assume it is just the mail/inbox for the players notifications and gifts/rewards. A small change wouldn't be a big deal.

Its not even those. You can abuse this mechanic in any way. With two pokeball cards and a deck like mewtwo and gardevior you can practically guarentee any deck will get you your best pokemon basics into your hand right away.
