I have the same problem as the OP. It has happened consistently for me, every time I try to play. I play on PC. It happens for casual and ranked games. I uninstalled and reinstalled PTCGL and the problem persisted.

I agree. The recent changes that shortened the timer make it so I cant even read the opponents cards! It makes the game feel way too rushed imo.
