Some people @PkmnTrnrJoe @VoteBlue still have routes in review since June. My own queue is two months old. The AI has auto accepted some routes but the others just sit there gathering dust. So do not believe anything you see on the length of time routes will take to be reviewed. It is totally random

You do get more rewards. There are more spawns. You get daily rewards for walking and higher 7 day consecutive walks. doing the same route 5, 20, 100 times gets you nothing extra it seems.
