  • You replace a character when you have nothing left to work with. Given that Ash is now World Champion, what's left to explore with his character? I mean yeah his Pokemon Master goal is very vague and subjective but for us fans and those who play the games, the objective is to become regional Champion. Ash not only did that…
  • AJ is my favorite. Didn't take Ash's immature BS in Season 1, whipped his butt with his Sandshrew and started his journey with his partner after getting victory 100. Shame we never saw him again. At least he's immorialized with Yellow version. Honorable mention for Duplica and her Ditto. Team Rocket imitation anyone?
  • If we base this solely on popularity, its Charmander. He's the only one to evolve to the final stage and the only one to have real tough fights over the course of the first ~9 Seasons(up to Battle Frontier). Also I really need to stop replying at the wee hours of the morning. Thought this was Video Game instead of Anime… 🤣

Gen 5 Anime… not so much… but the games set themselves apart with the unique Gym Leader themes(Elesa gives me what I need… 😏), solid Gym Leader fights and a…
  • Pokémon came out when I was in Middle School so this dates me quite a bit but I didn’t get Red or Blue but Yellow version. As such I never had the experience of being able to pick a Kanto starter but instead got to enjoy all three of them if I so desired. Yet I came to find that the starters were really not needed…
  • I voted Charmander but I only voted for him because he has objectively the fewest weaknesses compared to the other two but the answer is none of the above and I'll explain why. After having played Pokémon Yellow for ~25 years, I've concluded that when it comes to Generation 1, none of the starters are even necessary…
