If there are different versions of the same card you are trying to use you have to select the available button after you have clicked on the card you are interested in. Then it will bring up the different versions where you can select the version you want.

Yes, the rule book says that you win if "If your opponent has no cards in their deck at the beginning of their turn" therefore you should only loose if you cannot draw at the start of your turn.
