I ran into the same thing after updating today. I was able to select the amount I wanted and quickly hit done when it flashed on the screen, but that caused everything to break visually. After that it showed the energy on the wrong Arcanine, even after it got knocked out and was in the discard.

I think this is allowed, that's why they call it scooping the game. I used to do this in online when I bricked and was gonna lose anyway.
