Ok, so, I figured out a temporary solution for all those on Macs. Go to the website below. You need to be logged into your pokemon account on the website and there is a camera function you can use. Until they get the app working on Mac's this may be your best bet.

I'm not sure if they are fixing this in today's update, however you can use the camera function on the pokemon.com website. Once you are logged in of course. Hope this helps. https://redeem.tcg.pokemon.com/en-us/
