Both of the DLCs take place in Unova. That's the reason for the references. We're not getting Unova remakes until Gen 10.

That would require OP to change their perfect list that's unbeatable at least 20% of the time though.

In this guy's case it's because he made a "creative" deck that loses to the meta, and rather than fixing or changing his deck he instead blames everyone for not being as "creative" as him. No, of course he'd never post his list. That would be silly.
