You actually put your cat on a leash?! I have never seen that before irl! 😃......The cats here run free.... 😕... Good for cats, bad for other things. Even non-strays go and then return to their homes.

That's how my last cat was. Had her since I was three and lost her when I was 13. It was heart breaking. We tried to make her am inside cat but after about 7 years of having her she got out. The thing is she returned home after getting out, and after that she was an out door cat. Well, one night it was snowing hard and Star (my cat) went out and never came home. We searched the neighborhood for weeks and she never showed. Our only explanation is a coyote got her (we have some in our area along with neighbors's dogs). My mom got me a new cat in late July of last year. She's a tuxedo cat named Oreo. We don't let her outside because we know she'd probably meet the same fate Star did, but just to see what would happen my mom let her take a few steps outside. Oreo was very timid, but she started meowing happily and rolled around in the ground, purring lightly (this is what I was taking about being adorable). She doesn't wear a collar but I'm thinking either temporarily put one on her or get her a harness to connect a leash, that way she can get out and run around but not escape us with her speed. I'm so excited!

Awwwweeee 😍. I'm happy for you, your fam, and Oreo!!!! Sounds like a good moment to remember. I hope the harness works! 😔 I am sorry about Star. It is rough to lose a fury beloved family member. Star will always have a special place in your heart 💜. Each individual, whether it be a fury/feathered/scaled/etc family member, and yes even a human, cannot be replaced, but the cool thing is our hearts can expand to make special places for others...... moment of silence in remembrance............................................ now I ramble.... I apologize.
I am happy for you & Oreo! 🙂

(Ah, you don't need to say anything. I didn't mean to rant about it. I'm good about the whole thing now.). The funny thing about Oreo is I didn't even plan on choosing her or even naming her that. They keep multiple cats in one cage (which really irritates me. They need room to play!) and there were two cats in her cage that I wanted to interact with. The cage got opened and Oreo (at the time named Millie) bolted. I wasn't too concerned about it. Figured that, even though I didn't want her, it gave her time out of the cage that she needed. Remember the two cats that I was looking at? Yeah, they weren't interested in me at all. Oreo, though, she was. She was the only one that even seemed to notice me. After that, I don't know. I was just drawn to her. And because her fur is black and white, my mom called her Oreo (like the cookie). The woman that worked there kept correcting her but I loved the name so we went with Oreo and got her! I don't regret my decision one bit. And to respond about outside, that's the only time she's been out but she definitely loved it!

Multiple?! At least give them there own cage! Goodness!
Oreo, she seriously sounds so cute! Insert black and white cat emoji.
It's funny that the person who worked there was correcting your mom (No offense to her)
I am happy for you guys! -

Yeah. It hurts when I go to the pet store and see all the cats in their small cubes with no room to play. I know the store has a budget and stuff but, as you said, they should at least give them their own cage. She adorable! She always makes me smile. I don't think there would be offense. I found out humorous as well! I…don't know how to respond to the "I'm happy for you guys!" Thanks? (Sorry if that's a rude reply. I Just don't want to ignore it)

(Now that I look back at it I don't really get it.)
If I were the store owner I would make that my priority! -

I agree too!! I'm thankful you got to rescue Oreo and give her a good home. And yes, you rescued her even if it was from a pet shop. (Sigh… all creatures need space of some kind).... Hmmm which reminds me, I really liked that you let the Pokemon out for R&R in the woods before Ceruledge found the Dragonair. I really liked that scene. Thank you for considering their cooped-up-ness (is that even a word) and the opportunity for bonding time. 🙂

It's a word now! That's why I wanted to do it. Add to their personality a bit and show that they're not much different from our pets I'm real life. They need R&R, too!
