You can only have up to the maximum number of playable copies of each individual version of each card. That was your 5th copy of that art, so it's automatically traded. You can't play 5 copies of a card in a deck so you didn't need that copy.

Just FYI, it's not that they become English copies; all cards are in your selected language regardless of source.
