I do not believe that this was a bug. Cresselia is attacking you, but it is moving damage rather than damaging you directly. Therefore Ambipom's ability does not stop this. This is similar to how Manaphy stops damage to benched Pokemon, but does not stop damage counters from being places on benched Pokemon.

As stated, the changes help with the Standard Format, but the issue remains in the Expanded beta Format. I just tested this out with Weezing & Net and the game appeared to lockup for my opponents. (My apologies to my 2 opponents. I was looking to test out the situation, rather than exploit a glitch.)

Flaaffy is a Stage 1 & Beach Court only effects Basic Pokemon. So this is not a bug.

I recommend taking a look at the limitlesstcg website. They provide deck lists for both IRL & online events.
