That doesn't mean that it's not random. It just means that the outcome is decided before the animation.

Without any information about the board state it's impossible to say anything. For VSTAR it could be Sky Seal Stone. If you want to report bugs, you should give all of the information you can.

It's the game crashing bug.

Whatever the case, this is way at the bottom of the issues list, even if it is a real issue and not just people trying to blame the app for bad hands (and the fact that you think it adjusts based on how the game is progressing makes me hesitant to believe that you're not just trying to blame the game for poor deck…

They can't even figure out how to set flags correctly. They don't have the skill to do something so advanced.

Tricky Gym caught this bug on stream at least twice, so it's also on Mac. The jumpscare is hilarious though.
