I think that megas were fine but also that some of them were a bit overdesigned. Not sure about their viability or balance since I don't play competetive.

I'm giving it about a month but I sure hope never because as far as I'm concerned, except for a few bad eggs here and there this is the best time I've had interacting with Pokémon fans in a long while. I also don't think it will last long the way it is now though lol

We have 8 which is a nice number but I do think we could have a Normal Evolution to finish the line.
