Development Priorities
So the latest update came out, and while PTCGO is sunsetting on June 5th, Live is still in a state of disarray. Gardy Ex is broken for many people, there's performance and game pacing issues all around, and folks are still finding loads of bugs and glitches.
... But hey we got Live Beta deck cosmetics and a new animation when taking prizes!... That not a single solitary soul asked for.
It's feeling for a long time like there's no proper direction, no cohesive game plan for the path ahead. Communication is extremely sparse, updates are complete catastrophes that somehow take 8 long hours, and focus isn't on getting the game to work properly, it's on whatever the devs feel like doing at the time. Issues players bring up are just as often ignored as actually addressed, so it feels like we're just screaming into the void.
After over a full year of beta we are still left with a client that's in shambles and painful on the eyes. The development team and management in charge of this project obviously don't care very much about the project itself, let alone the players, and it hurts to see this level of apathy in a game that many of us used to love. Now it feels like being in a broken marriage with a deeply damaged spouse that doesn't even want to change in the least.

I agree. It feels like there's room to reduce bugs and fix bugs more quickly. I imagine Pokemon Company (or whoever runs live) should have resources available to better this. The cosmetics feel like there's a focus on the bells and whistles in the game instead of focusing on the experience of playing the game digitally being fun to play.
