Weezing: Neutralizing Gas

I was in a battle where, Weezing was my active pokemon and it was supposed to neutralizing pokemon abilities. It had been working for MOST of my opponent’s pokemon, however my opponent was still able to use one: fusion strike.

Needless to say, I still claimed a victory; I simply chalked it up as a bug. Still pretty frustrating. Thanks.

Did the Genesect have Fusion Strike Energy attached? That protects it from the effects of abilities, including Neutralizing Gas.

By fusion strike, you mean Genesect's Fusion Strike System? If your opponent attaches a Fusion Strike energy to a Fusion Strike Pokemon, that Pokemon can still use abilities. That's probably what happened

Neutralizing Gas did not work on Lugia V Star's Summoning Star that everyone under the sun at the moment is using to put Archeops from the discard pile directly onto the bench. Neutralizing Gas has been working against this ability in the past. No special energy, stadium or other reason why this wouldn't have worked. There's been a couple instances since the last update that I was confused about Neutralizing Gas not working as I expected, and as usual I assumed it was probably my own mistake. However, I've started paying more attention, and it seems there is indeed a problem with it.

Thanks everyone. That is probably what it was. That makes sense.
