Galarian Weezing broken

I had Galarian Weezing in the active with its ability Neutralizing gas. Opponent was playing Regidrago dragon deck with Leafeon on the bench to load up leaf energy. Opponent was able to use greening cells despite my weezing being in the active. This was the last energy they needed for their Regi to finish me for final prize. I was 1 turn away from winning and they were struggling for energy. This is not the first time this has not worked it also doesn't work on Duraladon Vmax who can still use its ability.. Its totally broken right now as it only works with certain cards not all it should.

    Are you sure there was nothing played or in play that would have stopped the ability, like Cancelling Cologne or Empoleon V? And for Duraladon VMAX that makes no sense; Galarian Weezing's attack doesn't do damage.

    First of all yes there was nothing played, 2nd while it does no damage it still poisons however there was no poison. Just nothing. Its broken.

    Did the Duraladon have Big Parasol attached?
