I've known about them ever since I became a fan in Gen IV, but I've never made the effort to play them. I'll do it eventually.

spamming sand attack attract and thunder wave during the last fight of gale of darkness, honestly took me a while to come up with this strat in order to catch all of Greevil pokemon.
made the fight more fin tbh.

The limited Pokemon available is interesting but it does end up meaning some types have very few options. For example if you want to use a Ghost type in Colosseum you HAVE to use Misdreavus.
The unique ribbons are fun, especially since you can get them for Pokemon like Ursaring or Scyther and then evolve them into their new evolutions in games that came decades later.

I played the heck out of gale of darkness as a kid and thought it was the coolest game ever. I still have the special edition GameCube and a neat skin I got for it :-) I played colosseum too just not nearly as much. If we ever got remasters I would cry so many happy tears

I had a lot of fun with Gale of Darkness, I was given the limited edition bundle as a birthday gift by my aunt back then since they knew how much I loved Pokémon. Still own that gamecube to this day

Last time I played Colosseum I used dunsparce with serene grace and taught it blizzard. Did like no damage even to quad weak stuff but it froze so often it was soooo fun.
Also chuggaaconroy's misdreavus lives rent free in my mind.

Gale of Darkness was my first videogame ever!! Got the limited Edition gamecube set when I was 5 (｡uωu)♪
I've been needing to replay it... nowadays I have to reset after every fight cuz I want every shadow pokemon first try LOL
The remixes of the rival fight + champ fight music of R/S/E in this game.... actually peak
