How to edit a post?

How can I edit a post I've already made? Is that what the "duplicate" version of my comment at the bottom of a thread is supposed to be?

There is an Edit button when you click the "3 dots" on the right side of your post, but it goes away 1 hour after you post, so basically you only have 1 hour to make changes after you post.
