You don't need brilliant star ultra balls; however, the sunset info stated that B&W and X&Y both would transfer over but not be playable until a future update.2 -

Do you see them when you click show unowned cards and then click on the ultra ball to show other versions?2 -

Cool. That's what I figured. And it's not an especially big deal. It was just like 100 credits and It's a badge of honor to have the goofed up extra Melonys.2 -

I've never been able to buy 4 of the same variant. We can have more than 4 of the same card if it is not the same variant, but I think it might me a bug you have2 -
