@RiqMoran Imo, the School Battle Brawl certainly COULD have been a good replacement for a Battle Tower, but they would have had to implement a "set all to Lv. 50 ruleset", and given each competitor's Pokemon more competitive builds, with held items, etc.

@TheJeffers Also, assuming Pokémon is primarily targeted towards kids, and Nintendo Switch Parental Controls have a feature to limit online functionality- how is online battling supposed to be a replacement for the (presumably many) children whose parents don’t want them to be so exposed to the internet at a young age.…

@TheJeffers Also, online battles are not a good replacement for the Battle Tower, for a couple of reasons: As I’ve mentioned, PvP combat is too advanced for some people, such as myself. @TheJeffers Wait, only a minority of players even use the feature? It’s literally the main Postgame activity I do in each game, alongside breeding and training other Pokemon to use.

Sure, but maybe add a level cap feature like the "all Pokemon set to Lv. 50" rule in the mainline games.

@GeneralScout Idk, a lot of us went pretty far with only attacking moves when we were novice players.

Agree on Charizard- if the fans think a specific Pokemon is cool, fine. But if Game Freak keeps favoring a certain Pokemon, particularly a starter that A SIGNIFICANT PORTION OF THE FANBASE DID NOT CHOOSE, then we have a problem.
